Changpeng Zhao
Changpeng Zhao is CEO of Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by volume, launched in 2015. He was number three on the Forbes 2018 list of the richest people in cryptocurrency. Prior to this, he was Head of Development at Blockchain and Chief Technology Officer of OK Coin. He also developed trading software at Bloomberg and the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Vitalik Buterin
He is a developer and researcher who was a founding member of Bitcoin Magazine. Ethereum, the second-biggest cryptocurrency platform after Bitcoin, was founded by Vitalik Buterin. With 65 million Ether (ETH) tokens, Ethereum, dubbed a “decentralized mining network and software development platform rolled into one,” launched in 2015. Early in 2020, its market capitalization was approximately $16 billion, whereas Bitcoin’s was approximately $150 billion.
Jihan Wu
Jihan Wu serves as chairman, CEO, and co-founder of Bitmain Technologies, a semiconductor firm that sells servers, processors, and cloud solutions for blockchain and artificial intelligence. Their products include the mining pool and block explorer BTC.com, the blockchain supercomputing gear Antminer, and the cryptocurrency mining platform Antpool. He worked at China Grand Prosperity Investment as an investment manager before this.
Barry Silbert
Barry Silbert is the founder and CEO of the groundbreaking blockchain startup Digital Currency Group, which is the parent business of Foundry, Grayscale, CoinDesk, Genesis, and Luno. He was the CEO and founder of SecondMarket before it was acquired by NASDAQ. In addition to being listed on Fortune’s 40 Under 40 list. he was named Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young and Crain’s.
Brian Armstrong
At Coinbase, an open-source cryptocurrency wallet and trading platform, Brian Armstrong serves as both CEO and co-founder. Additionally, he is one of the co-founders of GiveCrypto, a charitable platform that promotes donating cryptocurrency to impoverished individuals who might not otherwise have access to capital or investing options. He had previously worked at Deloitte, IBM, and Airbnb, in addition to founding UniversityTutor.com.
Michael Saylor
MicroStrategy, the largest publicly traded business intelligence company, was founded, chaired, and led by Michael Saylor. The company specializes in enterprise analytics and mobility software, and Saylor put $425 million in Bitcoin as a safer investment than gold and bonds. He also penned “The Mobile Wave: How Mobile Intelligence Will Change Everything” and founded Saylor Academy, a free online learning resource.
